The year long celebrations to commemorate 150th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekanand were inaugurated today by a massive ‘Shobha Yatra’ (Celebratory March) in which more than 15,000 persons belonging to various walls of life participated. The march started from Red Fort and covered Chandni Chowk, Khari Baoli, Lahori Gate, Novelty Cinema, Delhi Railway Station and back to Red Fort (3.5 km).

11/1/2013 नई दिल्ली। स्वामी विवेकानन्द सार्धशती समारोह का आज नई दिल्ली स्थित सीरीफोर्ट सभागार में 2400 गण्मान्य नागरिकों की उपस्थिति में भव्य रूप से उदघाटन किया गया। स्वामी विवेकानन्द जी के जन्म के 150वें वर्ष के उपलक्ष्य में समस्त भारत में साल भर चलने वाले कार्यक्रमों की प्रस्तावना इस समारोह में रखी गई।

"भारत जागो ! विश्व जगाओ !!", स्वामीजी की बात सुनो - उठो ! जागो !! वीर बनों, आज की आनंद की जय विवेकानन्द की, जैसे जोशवर्धक जयघोष से संतरा नगरी गूंज उठी। स्वामी विवेकानन्दजी की 150वीं जयंती पर स्वामी विवेकानन्द सार्ध शती समारोह समिति, नागपुर महानगर की ओर से निकाली गई इस भव्य शोभायात्रा में लगभग 20,000 से अधिक नगरवासी सहभागी हुए, जिनमें शहर के विविध संस्थाओं के 7000 हजार से अधिक कार्यकर्ता सम्मिलित हुए।

नई दिल्ली - 12 जनवरी, 2013 - उतिष्ठ जागृत का उद्घोष करने वाले आधुनिक सन्त स्वामी विवेकानन्द की 150वीं जयन्ती कीशुरूआत देश की राजधानी दिल्ली में स्वामी विवेकानन्द शोभा यात्रा के रूप में हुई। कार्यक्रम की शुरूआत मंचीय कार्यक्रम से हुई जो लालकिले पर हुआ।

Swami Vivekananda’s messages continue to provide solutions to all our problems, but it only needs political will to tackle problems, said Sri Ravi Kumar Iyer, Saha Samyojak, Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh. He was speaking as chief guest at the inauguration event of Swami Vivekananda 150th Jayanthi Celebrations in Hyderabad on January 5, 2013.

As all of us aware 2013 is Swami Vivekananda's 150 Birth Anniversary Celebrations. Several organisations and institutions the world over will organise programmers as a befitting tribute to this great Patriot Saint of India who was intensely nationalistic and deeply universal.

At Head Quarters, in Vivekananda Kendra Vidhyalaya Kanniyakumari, two Sankalp Din programmes celebrated.  One is at morning 11 to 12.30p.m. in the presence of our General Secretary, Ma. Bhanudasji and Vice President Ma. Nivedita didi Sadhana Diwas conducted.  In this 79 sisters and 96 brothers, totally 175 karyakartas were there from 48 villages from 21 panchayats of Agasteeswaram taluk.
