In their paper ‘Integrating Cultural, Spiritual and Ethical Dimensions into Conservation Practice in a Rapidly Changing World',by Mark Infield & Arthur Mugisha, the authors bring out very clearly how each sub-set of cultural values are closely linked to various aspects of nature conservation.

This month we bring in our newsletter an excerpt from a concept paper that deals with cultural values and bio-diversity conservation. In their paper ‘Integrating Cultural, Spiritual and Ethical Dimensions into Conservation Practice in a Rapidly Changing World',by Mark Infield & Arthur Mugisha, the authors bring out very clearly how each sub-set of cultural values are closely linked to various aspects of nature conservation. This gives a valuable framework for nature and bio-diversity conservation through culture. For a society like that of Indian society such a framework is very much important and relevant.

We bring you the various activities that are happening at VK-nardep including the free medical camps, workshops on the revival of ancient and endangered traditional medical system, Bio-methanation plant training programme and installation of bio-methanation plants in Tamil Nadu.

"Sri rama jaya rama" Mantra was chanted during deep Pooja,  Shivalinga  Pooja and daily by our Balwadi school children, cultural class students and during monthly  meetings by our Balwadi teachers and Social Workers. Every month nearly 5,15,366 times mantras were chanted in 84 localities.

Second Declamation Training Camp (वक्ता प्रशिक्षण शिबिर) was Organized at Vile Parle, mumbai on 15th July 2012,  as a preparatory camp for 'Wake up Bharat Enlighten the world' with 55 participants.

विवेकानन्द केन्द्र कन्याकुमारी शाखा इन्दौर की और से गुरुपूर्णिमा उत्सव मनाया गया | स्वामी विवेकानंदजी के vision को मा. एकनाथजी ने mission के रूप में रखा| स्वामीजी ने कहा था " मै ऐसे मंदिर का निर्माण करना चाहता हु जिसके अंतर्गत सभी पन्थो के लोग एकत्रित हो और ॐ कार यह सभी पंथो में सर्व मान्य है |”

Vivekananda kendra Shimla branch has celebrated 'Guru Purnima' utsav on Aashadi Purnima, Yugabdh ५११४. On this occasion Havan Pooja is organised in kendra karyalay. The Havan started in morning 6 O'clock to 7:30am.
