Guru Purnima

Guru poornima festival was celebrated here on Wednesday by local branch of Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, a spiritually oriented service mission, and tributes were paid to great Rishi Ved Vyas on his birthday today for his contribution in preserving the Vedas.

The youth volunteers of the Delhi Branch of Vivekananda Kendra, Kanyakumari, are ready to celebrate a week-long GuruPurnima festive on the College Campuses. Shri Nikhil Yadav, Prant Yuva Pramukh of Vivekananda Kendra, Uttar Prant informed that the birth anniversary of Maharishi Veda Vyasa, a son of a Rishi Parashar and mata Satyawati, who was born on Ashadhi Purnima is commemorated as Gurupurnima.

Guru Purnima was celebrated on 24th July 2021, Saturday, in Sarojini Nagar Railway Colony by Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Chanakya Puri vistar. The event coincided with the 10 days camp which was in action at the same time. The camp was coordinated by Nikhil Yadav, Prant Yuva Pramukh, Vivekananda Kendra Uttar Prant.

Vivekananda Kendra, Telugu Prant, Hyderabad Vibhag has organised 2 programs in Dilsukhnagar and Kaushalam on the occasion of Guru Purnima Program for Preservation of Our Culture and tradition and creating  awareness of our rich values among the new generation, Parents and Society. Guru Stotras were recited by all children, Pada puja by children to their parents
