This year we are celebrating the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji on 12th November. Guru Nanak Jayanti, or as it is commonly called, Guru Nanak Gurpurab, is a Sikh festival which is celebrated with a lot of fervour and excitement in many parts of India and the world by Sikh and Punjabi communities in particular and Indians in general.
In our school we celebrated Vijayadasami & Vidhyarambam in a grand manner on 08.10.2019. The ceremony commenced with prayer song by our teacher Mrs.N.Lalitha Parameshwari. Next lightning the lamp by our parents. Next our teacher Mrs. S.Esakkiammal @ Devi proposed the welcome address and delivered a speech on Vidyarambam
Mama, 59 years old and the oldest chimpanzee and the matriarch of the famous chimpanzee colony of the Royal Burgers Zoo in Arnhem, the Netherlands, was gravely ill. Jan Van Hooff (emeritus professor behavioral biology at Utrecht University and co-founder of the Burgers colony) who has known Mama since 1972, visited her in the week before she died of old age in April 2016.

स्मारक के निर्माण में भारतभर से इतने लोगों का सहयोग रहा कि इसका उद्घाटन कार्यक्रम 2 सितम्बर 1970 से प्रारम्भ होकर दो महीना चलता रहा। भारत के लोगों ने एक होकर इस स्मारक का सफलतापूर्वक निर्माण किया। इस भव्य स्मारक का निर्माण सघन सम्पर्क के कारण हो सका, इसलिये इसके 50वे वर्ष में यह सोचा गया कि ‘एक भारत विजयी भारत’ शीर्षक के अन्तर्गत राष्ट्रव्यापी सम्पर्क किया जाये।
One day I asked the kids to chant Rama Nama for getting rain. We chanted Sri. Rama Jeyam with that intention. Really there was rainfall in the evening. We were all happy and enjoyed the rain. The next day a girl named Ushakavi recalled that and insisted me to chant Mantra to get rain. Her faith made me happy.
