Green Rameshwaram project envisions a multi-dimensional approach to the cleaning and greening of this ancient island. Today renewable energy sources and technologies for energy production from renewable sources have become important. The book explores and introduces renewable energy sources.
In our happenings section, we have workshop on Capacity building for Adaption of technology, training programme on cost effective bio-manure as well as biogas plant. In the ‘Green Rameshwaram’ project, we have tree plantation at public places by the NSS students as well as by the community, social engineering at the remote place of Dhanushkodi and different works carried out for the Revival of traditional water bodies. You will be happy to see the different stakeholders including local panchayat joining hands in revitalizing the ancient teerthams.
