In our happenings section, we have workshop on Capacity building for Adaption of technology, training programme on cost effective bio-manure as well as biogas plant. In the ‘Green Rameshwaram’ project, we have tree plantation at public places by the NSS students as well as by the community, social engineering at the remote place of Dhanushkodi and different works carried out for the Revival of traditional water bodies. You will be happy to see the different stakeholders including local panchayat joining hands in revitalizing the ancient teerthams.

Vivekananda Kendra, Assam Prant recently organized a few medical camps in the tea garden areas of Dibrugarh and Tinsukia districts. Four camps were organized in Tinsukia(Dirial, Gate Chariali, Jungle Basti and Borjan) and two(Pathalibam, Tingrai Balijan) camps were organized in Dibrugarh districts. 614 patients were examined in the camp and medicines were distributed. Dr.Prema S. a General Practitioner from Mumbai came voluntarily to render the service to the poor and needy. The mobile medical van team of Vivekananda Kendra Arun Jyoti also got involved in these camps.

As educators we need to stand for nourishing the rich cultural heritage of Arunachal Pradesh: the dawn lit mountain, which is also termed as ‘Gateway to serenity’.

Vivekananda Kendra Arun Jyoti ,Arunachal Pradesh recently organized one Free Operation Camp at District Hospital, Khonsa, Arunachal Pradesh.

Mohabeer Dharmasala in Rameswar am once provided shelter to thou sands of pilg rims visiting Rameswaram -the island in Gulf of Mannar known for its spirituality , natural beauty and cultural ethos. Unfortunately, this 18th-century building fell into ruin due to lack of care and maintenance. A group of heritage enthusiasts is now giving it a facelift. "Architecturally unique with exquisite domes at the entrance, this building can be an attraction for not just pilgrims but also tourists visiting Rameswaram.

Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya (NEC) Baragolai took part in CBSE Cluster-I Kho Kho Tournament from 17th to 19th October 2015 in ‘under 19’ category (both boys’ and girls’ teams) at Budding Buds Senior Secondary School, Tinsukia.

I have heard an anecdote of a boy who happened to cogitate at the people who are restless and unhappy. One day he asked his grandmother about it. She replied “It is not possible for life to make a selfish person happy, whatever temporary satisfactions may come along. But...” She added, “Life can give you joy if you live for the joy of others,” The teachers who comprehend this may become more selfless which help them to be affectionate and working beyond the comfortable frontier.
