Shobha yatra marks Vivekananda's birth anniversary

13 January 2013 Kanpur - Nearly 1,000 students, representatives of social and voluntary organizations and members of Swami Vivekanand Samiti took out a shobha yatra on the occasion of 150th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda on Saturday. This day is observed as 'National Youth Day'.The shobha yatra, having 60 tableaux, was flagged off by representatives of Vivekananda Society. Over 500 big and small vehicles were part of the yatra. It started from Phoolbagh ground and crossed areas like Birhana Road, Nayaganj, Ghantaghar and Moolganj.
