Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Karnataka Prant, Karnataka Prant, RT Nagar Branch celebrated the 79th Independence Day on 15th August 2025 at Samhita School of Performing Arts with a total of 36 participants, including 34 students, 1 teacher, and 1 parent.

The programme began with a prayer and Deepa Prajwalan, followed by a welcome address by Kum. Bhanupriya, who highlighted the significance of Independence Day. The patriotic geet Matrubhoomi Gana Se was led and sung by the children. Independence Day speeches were delivered in Hindi by Kum. Vishvajeet and in English by Kum. Bhavesh.

Patriotic songs Ek Tu Hi Bharosa and Ye Watan were rendered, and Government School children presented a spirited dance performance. Adding to the enthusiasm, Shri Bharath Ji engaged the children with a lively dance to a patriotic song. An India Quiz was conducted, and young Nishad, aged six, delivered a short speech, impressing the audience.

Students from Government School, Manorayanapalya also sang a patriotic song. The celebration concluded with the National Anthem, filling the atmosphere with patriotic fervour.
