Gurupurnima is one of the five Utsavas celebrated in Vivekananda Kendra. In Kendra, Omkara is revered as the Guru, and Gurupurnima is celebrated grandly by all branch centers and projects of Vivekananda Kendra across Bharat.
On Ashada Purnima (10th July 2025), Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Karnataka Prant, Jigani Nagar conducted a Bhajan Sandhya followed by a Gurupurnima programme. A total of 11 participants took part in the celebration.
The gathering reflected upon the message from Guru Purnima letter written by Mananeeya Nivedita Didi, All-India Vice President of VRM & VK, followed by a discussion on the significance of Guru Purnima and the deeper meaning of the Guru in one’s life. The programme concluded with Shanti Mantra.
