We came across a very interesting book “Soil, Soul and Society” by Shri.Satish Kumar, editor of the famous journal “Resurgence” and “Ecology” published from England.
In this book the author says that “Holistic thinking brings soil, soul and society together as three aspects of one big picture”. This is the new trinity for our time. With this trinity in good balance, we can create a sustainable future for the whole of humanity and whole of the Earth. This is possible if we humans tread lightly on the earth and leave a life of Elegant Simplicity within the context of soil, soul and society.
We in Vivekananda Kendra – Nardep also gives emphasis on Life for Environment by propagating Green technologies in the fields of (i) Eco-friendly construction technologies (ii) Water management (iii) Sustainable agriculture (iv) Holistic health (v) Renewable energy.
In this year’s report we are covering all the above verticals along with networking and new initiatives such as (i) Cow related products and (ii) Preparing idols from fiber glass.
