Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Kerala Prant, Thiruvananthapuram Branch organized an Amrit Parivar Sammelan at Nedungada Koviltottam Devi Temple, Kayikkara, Nedungada, Varkala, on 2nd May 2025 at 7:30 p.m. The Sammelan was conducted in conjunction with the annual temple festival that began on the same day. A total of 30 people participated in the programme.
Aadharneeya Radha Devi Didi, Kerala and Tamil Nadu Prant Sangathak, addressed the assembled families. Following the prayer, she introduced the service activities carried out by Vivekananda Kendra. In her talk on “Role of Family in Building a Strong Nation,” she emphasized the importance of nurturing children with good values and fostering strong character. She highlighted that elders in the family should serve as role models for the younger generation.
She concluded her address with a heartfelt appeal to preserve and uphold family traditions, which play a crucial role in shaping culturally rooted and resilient individuals—something greatly needed in today's times.
