A free cataract surgery (PHACO) surgery was conducted at Tinsukia civil Hospital, Tinsukia, Assam on 17th and 18th February 2020 by Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari. This camp was conducted in association with District Blindness Control Society,

Inaugural ceremony of Vivekananda Kendra Academy for Indian Culture, Yoga and Management (VK AICYAM) was celebrated from 12th January 2020(National Youth Day) to 16th January 2020 (Swamiji’s Birth Day as per Hindu tithi) as per the following schedule:

"समर्थ भारत पर्व" के उपलक्ष्य में असम के आनंदालय प्रकल्प के अंतर्गत विभिन्न चाय बागानों में "भजन संध्या एवं स्वामी विवेकानन्द जयन्ती" कार्यक्रम का आयोजन किया गया। जैसा कि हमे ज्ञात है कि शिक्षा, स्वास्थ्य एवं संस्कृति के क्षेत्र में 2004 से असम में सेवारत विवेकानन्द केन्द्र का 'आनंदालय' प्रकल्प चाय बागानों एवं ग्रामीण बस्तियों में निवास कर रहें विभिन्न जनजातियों के सर्वागींण विकास के लिए संचालित किया जाता है।

This is to be mentioned that the free surgery camp, organized by Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari in Arunachal Pradesh and Assam completed 12 years and till date 1007 poor and needy patients were successfully operated.

“Through 75 Balwadis, 1758 rural Children were nurtured. In all the Balwadis, Malt along with hygienically prepared, highly nutritive lunch with vegetables were served during the day and in the evening vitamin-rich cereals were provided to the children”.
