ITANAGAR, Dec 6: A day-long School Health Outreach programme was conducted at VKV Chimpu by the District Health Society, Yupia today.

The DHS team comprising Dr. Toko Papu, MO, School Health Programme, Jonggan Pertin, District Community Mobiliser interacted with the students of Class 9 and 10 and imparted knowledge on key adolescent health issues. The students were advised to keep themselves away from bad habits like using drugs, alcohol, tobacco and its products.

A quiz competition based on adolescent health issues was also conducted as part of the programme and the winners were given prizes.

Altogether 70 students and teachers of the school enthusiastically participated in the programme.
