International Day of Yoga is celebrated with enthusiasm by all the branch centers of Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari across Bharat. Through these celebrations, Vivekananda Kendra aims to bring Yoga to the general public in its true essence, i.e., Yoga as a way of life based on the vision of Oneness.
This year, Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Madhya Prant organized International Day of Yoga programs at 30 places in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, with a total participation of 1,437 people. The details of programs branch-wise/Karyasthan-wise/Prakalpa-wise are given below:
- Indore: 1 place, 50 participants
- Dhar: 1 place, 26 participants
- Khandwa: 1 place, 35 participants
- Jhabua: 3 places, 92 participants
- Bhopal: 1 place, 110 participants
- Bina: 5 places, 145 participants
- Sagar: 3 places, 160 participants
- Jeerapur: 3 places, 50 participants
- Vidisha: 1 place, 150 participants
- Gwalior: 4 places, 250 participants
- Bhind: 1 place, 14 participants
- Lalitpur: 1 place, 54 participants
- Jabalpur: 1 place, 60 participants
- Raipur: 2 places, 116 participants
- Bilaspur: 1 place, 65 participants
- Champa: 1 place, 60 participants
The programs were conducted in Kendra karyalayas, various institutions and public places, engaging people from all walks of life. All participants actively joined in, practicing Yogasanas and Pranayama as per the Common Yoga Protocol prescribed by the Ministry of AYUSH.
