VK Rural Development Programme : May 2014

A five days “Karyakarta Prashikshan Shivir” (Volunteers’ Training Camp) was organised by Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari’s Panchkula Branch during 20th to 25th June 2014 at New India Smart School, Sector 15, Panchkula.

मा. एकनाथजी की १०० वी जयंती वर्ष निमित्त (मा. एकनाथजी जन्म शती पर्व) विवेकानंद केंद्र कन्याकुमारी शाखा इंदौर द्वारा सावर रोड स्थित मानव सेवा ट्रस्ट में आवासीय व्यक्तित्व विकास शिविर दिनांक ०४ जून से ०८ जून तक  का आयोजन किया गया । शिविर के उदघाटन सत्र में मानव सेवा ट्रस्ट के ट्रस्टी श्री मनोहन बाहेतिजी  उपस्थित थे ।

A 4 day Sthanik Karyakarta Prashikshan Shibir was organised by Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari (Odisha Prant – Bhanja Vibhag) at Brahmapur from 29th May to 1st  June 2014.

Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Odisha Prant organised a 7day Prant Stariya Karyakarta Prashikshan Shibir at Baleswar from 4th June to 12th June 2014. 10 Brothers and 5 sisters from Baleswar, Bhubaneswar and Brahmapur participated in the shibir.

Vivekananda Kendra, Kanyakumari organized 159th Free Eye Camp on 04-06-2014 Wednesday from 9.00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m. in Vivekanandapuram Campus.

5th June, 2014 was a day of joy and proud moment for the people of Sadiya as it was the day when their much awaited dream of having Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya at Sadiya was finally going to become true.

The traditional water bodies renovation at Rameshwaram is now entering into the Green Rameshwaram phase. Eminent epigraphist S.Ramachandran and Sri.Rajendran a veteran expert on irrigation structures based inscriptions, identified a 'Sati stone' by the side of Sugreevar Teertham.

27 April 2014 - SVSSS Samapan karyakram of Haryana was organised in Karnal where coming programmes of Vivekananda Kendra were told.

Vivekananda Kendra, Arunachal Pradesh Prant recently organized a few Medical camps in Changlang district of Arunachal Pradesh. The camps were started from 7th June and concluded on 10th June 2014.

One needs to update oneself and climb steadily the ladder of excellence. Unearthing one’s potentiality and becoming the best in one’s area of interest is the greatest achievement for any human being. We the teachers of VKV should be the best in our profession. Some of the ways to update oneself are to attend training session whole heartedly, observing the classes of colleagues, reading good literature on methodology and content.

As Swami Vivekananda said Education is the manifestation of perfection already in man. With this inspiration Vivekananda Kendra, Odisha is running anandalaya. Children are learning language with picture reading. Parents meeting at village Phulzar.

Regular activities : Yoga varga- 26 people, Swadhaya varga-14 peole- topic Sadhana of Service. Bhajana every Saturday.

Vivekananda Kendra is propagating the message of Swami Vivekananda and Sanatan Dharma since 1977 through its Yoga Shibirs and Spiritual Retreats at Vivekananda Puram, Kanyakumari.

From Bhagavata comes the story of Mahavishnu’s annihilation of the demon Hiranyakasha, brother of Hiranyakaspu. He carried the mother earth to the boom of ocean and challenged Vishnu to fight him and reclaim her. Mahavishnu came out of the nostrils of Brahma as a tiny little boar which soon grew into a gigantic form of Yagna Varaha dived to the depths of the ocean, killed the demon, reclaimed her and established her in all her pristine glory.
