Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Kerala Prant, Guruvayur Branch organized a Yoga Satra from 6th to 19th May 2025 at three family temples—Pannikkassery Temple and Thachappully Temple in Engandiyur, and Vaikkattil Kalari Temple in Vatanappally. The sessions were held daily at different time slots: 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. at Pannikkassery Temple, 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Thachappully Temple, and 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Vaikkattil Kalari Temple.

A total of 49 participants took part in the Satra, which was led by Adarneeya Priyamvada Didi (Senior Jeevanvrati Karyakartha, Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari) with the active support of Guruvayur Karyakartas, who also managed transportation and stay arrangements.

The participants received structured training in breathing and loosening exercises, Surya Namaskaram with mantras, various āsanas, and relaxation techniques. Despite the wide age range of 10 to 80 years, all participants enthusiastically engaged in the daily practices. Individual posture corrections were provided, and in the concluding two days, sessions on meditation were also conducted. Participants showed keen interest in Vivekananda Kendra’s publications on Yoga and many purchased books, resolving to continue their practice and organize weekly collective sessions—already initiated at Vaikkattil Temple.

The concluding session was graced by the presence of Adarneeya Radha Didi, Kerala Prant Sangathak and Mananeeya Sudhakar Ji, Senior Jeevanvrati Karyakartha of Vivekananda Kendra who addressed the participants. Radha Didi emphasized the importance of the Amrita Parivar concept and integrating Yoga into daily life. Sudhakar Ji clarified participant queries and highlighted the transformative value of regular Yoga practice. He was accompanied by Smt. Remya Chechi, Sri Radhakrishnan Ji, and Sri Nandakumar Ji from VKVVF, Kodungallur. Selected participants demonstrated āsanas and Surya Namaskars and shared their positive experiences. The Satra concluded on a deeply inspiring note, reinforcing the collective resolve to walk the path of Yoga with regularity and dedication.
