Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Dakshin Prant, Kerala Vibhag, Thiruvananthapuram Branch conducted Monthly Personality Development Workshop on 29th October 2023 at NSS Karayogam, Chittazha, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. A total of 33 people including 17 children, 10 parents, 3 NSS Karayogam organisers, and 3 Kendra Karyakarthas participated in this workshop.
This monthly event consistently takes place on the last Sunday of every month. The workshop started with prayer. Kerala Vibhag Sampark Pramukh Sri. Vishnu ji was introduced to the children. During his interaction with the children, Sri. Vishnu Ji emphasized the significance of Tithis and Nakshatras in Bharatiya culture. While explaining the meaning and importance of the mantra ‘Karagre Vasate Lakshmi, Karamadhye Saraswathi, Karamule Sthita Gouri, Prabhate Kara Darshanam,’ he shared a beautiful story and encouraged the children to incorporate this mantra into their daily routines.
The children were engaged and enjoyed the session, which concluded with the Shanti Mantra. The workshop facilitates personal growth among the children and deepens their cultural understanding.
