Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, through all its branch centres across Bharat, celebrated the International Day of Yoga 2025 with great enthusiasm, aiming to bring forth Yoga in its true essence—as a way of life based on the vision of Oneness.
Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Karnataka Prant, Hebbal Nagar Branch organized a Yoga session on the occasion of International Day of Yoga at REVA Independent PU College, Sanjay Nagar on 21st June 2025 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. The event was attended by 50 participants and facilitated by 2 Karyakartas of the Kendra.
The Guest of Honour, Shri Shivaramakrishna Ji, graced the occasion. Shri Prasad Ji addressed the gathering and explained the importance of Yoga, its benefits in daily life, the origin of the International Day of Yoga, and the Common Yoga Protocol developed by the Ministry of AYUSH.
Following the introduction, Shri Prasad Ji conducted a 45-minute Yoga session in accordance with the protocol. The session included prārthanā, shīthilikaraṇa vyāyāma (warm-ups), Yogāsanas, prāṇāyāma, and concluded with meditation and prayer, along with the spirited chants of “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” and “Vande Mataram.”
The program was well-received and marked a meaningful and successful celebration of the International Day of Yoga.
