Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, through all its branch centres across Bharat, celebrated the International Day of Yoga 2025 with great enthusiasm, aiming to bring forth Yoga in its true essence—as a way of life based on the vision of Oneness.
As a part of the celebrations, Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Karnataka Prant, Hebbal Nagar Branch organized a Yoga session on the occasion of International Day of Yoga at Godwin Public School, Kodigehalli on 21st June 2025 from 9:15 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. The event was attended by 250 students, with active support from 3 Karyakartas of the Kendra.
The session began with the Karyakartas explaining the importance of Yoga, its benefits for physical and mental well-being, and the significance of the International Day of Yoga. The session followed the Common Yoga Protocol issued by the Ministry of AYUSH, which included prārthanā, warm-up exercises (shīthilikaraṇa vyāyāma), Yogāsanas, prāṇāyāma, and a concluding prayer.
The enthusiastic participation of the students and the positive response from the school staff made the event a meaningful and impactful celebration of the International Day of Yoga.
