International Day of Yoga is celebrated with enthusiasm by all the branch centers of Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari across Bharat. Through these celebrations, Vivekananda Kendra aims to bring Yoga to the general public in its true essence, i.e., Yoga as a way of life based on the vision of Oneness.
This year, Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Bihar-Jharkhand Prant organized International Day of Yoga programs at 37 places across Bihar and Jharkhand, with a total participation of 2,571 people. The programs were supported by a committed team of Kendra Karyakartas. The details of programs branch-wise/Karyasthan-wise are as follows:
- Patna: 13 places, 668 participants
- Chhapra: 1 place, 27 participants
- Arrah: 1 place, 75 participants
- Begusarai: 1 place, 32 participants
- Bhagalpur: 6 places, 408 participants
- Bihpur: 1 place, 65 participants
- Kahalgaon: 2 places, 150 participants
- Purnia: 1 place, 17 participants
- Gaya: 4 places, 215 participants
- Bodhgaya: 1 place, 7 participants
- Jehanabad: 1 place, 7 participants
- Ranchi: 3 places, 740 participants
- Chandil: 5 places, 920 participants
- Dhanbad: 1 place, 11 participants
- Muzaffarpur: 1 place, 5 participants
- Banka: 1 place, 25 participants
The programs were held in schools, colleges, community centers, and public spaces, drawing enthusiastic participation from students, youth, and the general public. All sessions followed the Common Yoga Protocol prescribed by the Ministry of AYUSH, covering āsanas, prāṇāyāma, and relaxation techniques.
These celebrations not only promoted physical and mental well-being but also served to strengthen cultural and spiritual awareness rooted in the Yogic tradition.
