International Day of Yoga is celebrated with enthusiasm by all the branch centers of Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari across Bharat. Through these celebrations, Vivekananda Kendra aims to bring Yoga to the general public in its true essence, i.e., Yoga as a way of life based on the vision of Oneness.
This year, Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Arunachal Prant organized International Day of Yoga programs at 32 places in Arunachal Pradesh, with a total participation of 3,247 people. The details of programs branch-wise/Karyasthan-wise/Prakalpa-wise are given below:
- Aalo: 10 places, 947 participants
- Arun Jyoti Deomali: 1 place, 30 participants
- Arun Jyoti VK Maio: 1 place, 45 participants
- Changlang: 1 place, 150 participants
- Deomali: 1 place, 70 participants
- Kaying: 1 place, 50 participants
- Khonsa: 1 place, 30 participants
- Liromoba: 1 place, 200 participants
- Maio: 1 place, 233 participants
- Pakke Kesang: 1 place, 130 participants
- Parshuram Kund: 1 place, 40 participants
- Pasighat: 8 places, 1163 participants
- Raj Bhawan Itanagar: 1 place, 10 participants
- Seppa: 1 place, 33 participants
- Tezu: 2 places, 116 participants
The programs were conducted in Kendra karyalayas, various institutions and public places, engaging people from all walks of life. All participants actively joined in, practicing Yogasanas and Pranayama as per the Common Yoga Protocol prescribed by the Ministry of AYUSH.
These celebrations not only promoted holistic well-being but also deepened cultural and spiritual awareness, firmly rooted in the timeless wisdom of the Yogic tradition.
