Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu Prant, Madurai Branch organised an International Day of Yoga 2025 programme at the Indian Oil Corporation Ltd, Southern Region Pipelines (SRPL), Madurai Terminal in Kappalur on 21st June 2025. The program aimed to promote the practice of yoga among the employees and highlight its importance for physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
The session saw the active participation of 11 employees, who engaged enthusiastically in the yoga practices. The program followed the Common Yoga Protocol (CYP) as prescribed by the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India.
The session included a guided practice of Loosening Exercises, yogasanas and pranayama. The employees experienced deep relaxation and expressed interest in continuing yoga as part of their regular fitness routine.
The program was coordinated and conducted with the support and efforts of Shri. Rajasekhar ji, Sahitya Seva Pramukh, Vivekananda Kendra Madurai; Kendra Karyakarthas Shri. Balasurya and Shri. Kamatchi Kannan. Their dedicated involvement ensured the smooth execution of the event, from planning to demonstration and participant engagement.
The IDY 2025 celebration at IOC SRPL Madurai Terminal was a simple yet impactful initiative that reminded employees of the need to nurture both body and mind amidst their busy work schedules. The event successfully conveyed the theme of “Yoga for One Earth, One Health”, reinforcing yoga as a unifying force for personal and planetary well-being.
