Nasik Branch of Vivekananda Kendra has organised various programmes in Nashik from January 12 onwards to commemorate Swami Vivekanand's 150th birth anniversary in all its branches throughout the country to spread his rich thoughts and literature.
Prakash Pathak, senior thinker and one of workers said the 'Sinhnaad' project is being adopted by kendra keeping in mind college students and various competitions have been organised to mark the celebrations from 2011 to 2013.
"Winners of the said competition will join district level, state level training camps and winners will be participating at the national level training camp, scheduled to be held at kanya kumari where 10,000 youth from different parts of the country will participate.
He has also urged people, especially youths to write articles on Vivekanand's books and send it to any of the kendras for publication.
The 175th birth anniversary of Shri Ramkrishna Paramhans and founder of vivekanand kendra Eknath's 100th birth anniversary will be also celebrated during three years 2011-2013, Pathak said.
