The auspicious Gruha Pravesh ceremony was performed on 24 November 2010 at 0800 hrs with Veda Mantras and Hawan by Purohits. All the invitees after witnessing the Poorna Ahuti assembled at another hall for the inaugural function.
Smt Jyoti Khandelwal, Mayor of Jaipur, who was the Chief Guest, in her speech said that she was inspired by Swami Vivekananda's teachings and she considered Baratiya Culture was the backbone of Indian society and the newly constructed building donated by the Odrani family to Vivekananda Kendra which is engaged in strengthening the Bharatiya Culture as propagated by Swami Vivekananda was actually a real gift to the motherland.
Swami Hridanandaji, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission, Jaipur who was the Special Guest, enlightened the audience on the life and teachings of Swami Vivekananda.
Kum Rekha Davey, Joint General Secretary, Vivekananda Kendra, explained about Vivekananda Kendra's Man Making and Nation Building activities all over the country and expressed Kendra's gratitude to Odarani family as the building would stand as a beacon in making Jaipur Kendra a great center for spreading Swamiji's message of 'Renunciation and Service' and Serve Man, Serve God
The well attended programme concluded successfully with vote of thanks by Shri Sitaram Sethi, Nagar Pramukh of jaipur Kendra followed by Shanti Mantra.All left after receiving Prasadam.
