Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Arunachal Prant, celebrated the festival of Raksha Bandhan with great devotion and patriotic fervour across various Nagars in Arunachal Prant. The utsav was observed in collaboration with the armed forces, security personnel, institutions, and local communities, reflecting the spirit of protection, unity, and cultural bonding.

  • Aalo Nagar: The branch celebrated Raksha Bandhan with the Indian Army. A total of 60 soldiers and 48 karyakartas participated. Rakhis prepared by Smart Class students were presented to the soldiers.
  • Changlang Nagar: Karyakartas celebrated Raksha Bandhan Utsav with CRPF personnel.
  • Deomali Nagar: The festival was celebrated at the army camp, police station, and market area with enthusiastic participation.
  • Itanagar Nagar: Vivekananda Kendra Itanagar celebrated Raksha Bandhan with ITBP 31 BN Tigdo Yupia. The event saw the presence of 3 brothers and 10 sisters from the Kendra.
  • Kharsang Nagar: Celebrations were held at the Assam Rifles Camp and Police Station, Kharsang, with 60 participants and 11 karyakartas.
  • Lazu Nagar: The utsav was observed at the Assam Rifles Camp, Pongkong village, and Longliang village.
  • Miao Nagar: VK Arun Jyoti, Miao Karyasthan, celebrated Raksha Bandhan with the 11th Assam Rifles and CRPF camp. The programme began with three Omkars and lighting of the lamp by senior officers. A total of 84 Assam Rifles personnel, 38 CRPF personnel, 5 karyakartas, and 6 students participated.
  • Namsai Nagar: Celebrations were organised with VKV Namsai students and 1444 BC GREF BRO, Namsai.
  • Pasighat Nagar: VKV Pasighat celebrated Raksha Bandhan with parents and Hon’ble MLA Shri Tapi Darang Ji. Another programme was held at the Karyalaya with karyakartas from Nagarsamiti, IYF, Samskar Varga, and Sthaniya Karyakartas. A total of 25 karyakartas participated.
  • Seppa Nagar: The branch celebrated Raksha Bandhan at Kampu Hollan Orphanage.
  • Tirap Nagar: VK Arun Jyoti, Khonsa, celebrated Raksha Bandhan at the SP Office. Rakhis were tied to SP Shri Aditya and the staff, who expressed gratitude and appreciated the Kendra’s efforts in spreading positivity, unity, and cultural values.

Across all Nagars, the utsav was celebrated in a spirit of love, respect, and commitment to the tradition of Raksha Bandhan. The programmes strengthened bonds of brotherhood and highlighted the message of unity and service to society.
