International Day of Yoga is celebrated with enthusiasm by all the branch centers of Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari across Bharat. Through these celebrations, Vivekananda Kendra aims to bring Yoga to the general public in its true essence, i.e., Yoga as a way of life based on the vision of Oneness.
This year, Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Karnataka Prant organized International Day of Yoga programs at 52 places in Karnataka, with a total participation of 6,029 people. The details of programs branch-wise/Karyasthan-wise/Prakalpa-wise are given below:
- VKV Kallubalu: 11 places, 2032 participants
- Hebbal: 9 places, 1698 participants
- RT Nagar: 7 places, 966 participants
- JP Nagar: 1 place, 142 participants
- Jalahalli: 1 place, 14 participants
- Anandalaya Prakalpa: 18 places, 240 participants
- Mysore: 4 places, 471 participants
- Hanumanalu: 1 place, 229 participants
- Marathalli: 2 places, 271 participants
The programs were conducted in various institutions and public places, engaging people from all walks of life. All participants actively joined in, practicing Yogasanas and Pranayama as per the Common Yoga Protocol prescribed by the Ministry of AYUSH.
