Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, through all its branch centres across Bharat, celebrated the International Day of Yoga 2025 with great enthusiasm, aiming to bring forth Yoga in its true essence—as a way of life based on the vision of Oneness.
Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Karnataka Prant, Hebbal Nagar Branch organized a large-scale Yoga event on the occasion of International Day of Yoga at Coffee Board Layout Road, opposite the park in Hebbal Kempapura, on 21st June 2025 from 6:15 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. The event witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 450 people, supported by the active involvement of 15 Karyakartas.
The program began with an invocation by Ms. Abinaya Ji, followed by an address by Ms. Smitha Ji, who explained the significance of the International Day of Yoga, the background of its global observance, and introduced the Common Yoga Protocol (CYP).
The ceremonial Deepa Prajwalana (lamp lighting) was done by Shri Prasad Ji, Rajashree Ji, and Chief Guest Shri. Thammesh Gowda Ji.
The Yoga session was led by Smt. Rajashree Didi as per the Ministry of AYUSH's Common Yoga Protocol, which included prārthanā, shīthilikaraṇa vyāyāma (warm-up exercises), yogāsanas, prāṇāyāma, and a meditation session. The concluding prayer, along with patriotic chants of “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” and “Vande Mataram,” was conducted by Shri Prasad Ji.
The event received widespread appreciation and was also telecast live by Ayush TV and streamed live on YouTube, extending its reach to a broader audience. The program concluded successfully, leaving a lasting impact on the participants.
