Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Dakshin Prant, Karnataka Vibhag celebrated Gita Jayanti at Marathahalli on 21st December 2023. A total of 50 people attended the programme.
The Gita Jayanti Celebrations commenced with the chanting of three Omkaras and Shanti Paath. A Bhagavad-Gita 12th Chapter Shlokas Reciting Competition was organized. The children from Vasudha Enclave, Doddanakkundi, Marathahalli, and Satyakama Samskara Varga participated in the competition. Additionally, there were online participants, totaling 18 children in the competition.
Children actively engaged in anchoring, Bhajans, and dance activities during the event. Aadharneeya Lalita Didi and Smt. Padmarekha Didi graciously served as Guests and judges for the event. Smt. Padmarekha Didi gave an introduction to Vivekananda Kendra and its service activities, while Aadharneeya Lalita Didi shared insights on the ‘Essence of Bhagavad-Gita in Amrit Parivar,’ followed by the Prize distribution ceremony. The programme concluded with the recitation of the Shanti Mantra and dinner prasadam.
