Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Dakshin Prant, Tamilnadu Vibhag, Vivekananda Kendra Rural Development Programme, Ramanathapuram Branch organized Free Eye Check-up Camp at Sethupathi Mahal, RS Mangalam, Ramanathapuram District on 9th December, 2023.
The event was inaugurated by Dr. Monica, Smt. Kalphana, Aravind Eye Hospital, Madurai by lightning the lamp. Kendra Sister Nagajyothi sang the prayer song. Sister Vijayarani delivered the welcome address. The event was also graced by the presence of Rotary Club President Sri. Subramani, Secretary Sri. Kandasamy, Sri. Karunakaran, and karyakarthas Sri. Manikandan and Sri. Selvakumar.
The eye check-ups were conducted by a dedicated medical team from Aravind Eye Hospital, Madurai. The event facilitated comprehensive eye examinations for 105 outpatients, with 27 patients diagnosed with cataracts being referred for further treatment.
